These images are part of a series that I call "The Field of Forgotten Dreams." With these I invite the viewer to explore and enjoy the beauty that can be found in decay. Images #1 through #23 were part of a gallery display at the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, TX in the Spring of 2016.
James Clinich is a self taught photographer with a love of abandoned places (and things) and a passion for nighttime photography. James spends a great deal of time when he's not out taking pictures seeking out new abandoned places to photograph. He takes pride in being the first (and often possibly the only) person to capture many of these places. He considers himself to be somewhat of a pioneer (or maybe a trailblazer) and similar in some respects to Ansel Adams. A good friend once told him "you can stand where Ansel stood and put your tripod where Ansel put his, and although you may capture an image much the same as Ansel's, it will never be an Ansel Adams print."
