Artist's Description
This is the Chapel at the Ralls Cemetery (Ralls, Texas). A friend of mine had shot this during the day (an amazing image that she won several awards with) and I thought this would be a great location for a Milky Way shot. This was from my second time here and although it was cold, it wasn't quite as cold as the first (27 degrees in February). This image was selected for Second Place in the 18th Annual High and Dry: A photographic exhibition of peoples and places of the world's dry lands put on by the Office of International Affairs of Texas Tech University. Another "James Clinich Original"; I was the first to shoot this location at night.
About James Clinich
James Clinich is a self taught photographer with a love of abandoned places (and things) and a passion for nighttime photography. James spends a great deal of time when he's not out taking pictures seeking out new abandoned places to photograph. He takes pride in being the first (and often possibly the only) person to capture many of these places. He considers himself to be somewhat of a pioneer (or maybe a trailblazer) and similar in some respects to Ansel Adams. A good friend once told him "you can stand where Ansel stood and put your tripod where Ansel put his, and although you may capture an image much the same as Ansel's, it will never be an Ansel Adams print." If you're looking for something truly unique, you've come to the right...
